Singer Chinmayi Sripaada continues to engage with the Malayali audience. Following her first-time appearance on a Kerala-based reality show, Star Singer Season 10, recently, she is set to comeback as the voice of Saregama’s upcoming Onam special song. Titled ‘Ponnavani Varavaay’, the song will drop on Saregama's YouTube channel at 5:00 pm on August 16, Saturday. Announcing the song’s release date, Saregama wrote in the caption, “Onam gets a melody upgrade this year.”

Chinmayi is renowned for her soulful melodies across industries, from ‘Tere Bina’ in Guru to an onstage rendition of ‘Muththa Mazhai’ in Thug Life. However, she has not sung as much in Malayalam cinema as she has elsewhere. Some of her notable Malayalam credits are 'Oonjalilaadi Vanna' from Action Hero Biju, 'Omane' from Aadujeevitham, 'Aaromale' from C/O Saira Banu, and 'Maayaathe Ormayil' from Hero.

Chinmayi has sung Malayalam album songs as well. She has lent her voice to East Coast Vijayan’s album ‘Iniennum’, with the song ‘O Priyane’. She also sang ‘Nilavinte’ from the music album Nilathattam.

Chinmayi has also been an advocate for the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) in Malayalam cinema. She has praised the unity of women in the Malayalam film industry and their efforts, which she believes led to the Hema Committee Report.
