More than two years after it was first announced, debutant director Aaryan Ramani Girijavallabhan’s film with Nivin Pauly remains in active development. In a detailed social media post shared on Sunday, Aaryan clarified that the project is progressing steadily, despite speculation among fans about its delay.

The film, which was officially announced in 2023 with a poster released on Nivin’s birthday, has seen little public communication. This led to doubts about its status, especially after a comment on social media claimed the film was unlikely to materialise. Aaryan addressed the remark directly in his post, calling it “sad” and “disheartening,” while offering an update on the film’s current status.

“This is not just about my film. Nothing in the world can be said with 100 percent certainty. But as of now, everything is moving in full swing,” Aaryan wrote. According to him, the final script has now been handed over to Nivin, and pre-production work is ongoing in Kochi with a dedicated team. A foreign stunt choreographer has already begun discussions with the lead actor, and other departments, including previsualisation and design, are also active. The film’s director of photography has been finalised.

Aaryan explained that the reason the title has not yet been revealed is due to Nivin’s prior commitments, which need to be completed before further announcements can be made. He added that the film is being planned on a relatively large scale and the team intends to proceed without major compromises. “This is a film that demands time and preparation. My team and I are working day and night. Please continue to support us,” Aaryan said.

While plot details remain tightly under wraps, Nivin had described the film in 2023 as “something big” and “a stunning story.” Aaryan has earlier acted in brief roles in films like Tournament, Pranayam and Lilli. He also made the short film Burn My Body, which got noticed widely.
