Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was arrested by the Kerala police in relation to a drug case on Saturday.

This development follows an interrogation that lasted around four hours at the Ernakulam North police station. It is worth noting that Shine Tom made an escape from a Kochi hotel during a narcotics raid on April 16 by the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF).

Subsequent to his arrest procedures, Shine's medical examination will take place at the Ernakulam General Hospital. Reports suggest that the police have found incriminating evidence to establish Shine's connection with drug dealers, although the state agency informed nothing substantial was found in Shine's room.

Shine is reportedly booked under Sections 27 (consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance) and 29 (abetment and criminal conspiracy) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances or the NDPS Act.
