Antony Varghese's Kondal, scheduled to hit theatres on September 13 as an Onam release, has received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board. Billed as an action-packed revenge drama set against a coastal backdrop, the film is directed by debutant director Ajit Mampally. Starring alongside Antony in a prominent role is Kannada actor-filmmaker Raj B Shetty, who previously portrayed the antagonist opposite Mammootty in Turbo.

Kondal also features Shabeer Kallarakkal, Nandu, Manikanda Rajan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Prathibha, Gauthami Nair, Usha, Jaya Kurup, Sarath Sabha, Siraj and Rahul Rajagopal in key roles. The film's technical team includes composer Sam CS, cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, and editor Sreejith Sarang. It is backed by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters, the same production house behind Antony's hit film RDX (2023).

Meanwhile, Antony's new film Daveed recently completed its first schedule of shooting. Also hinted as an action film, it is directed by Govind Vishnu, a newcomer.
