Earlier, we reported about a case filed at the Oonnukal Police Station, Ernakulam, against Nivin Pauly for the sexual assault of a woman under the pretext of offering her a role in cinema. The actor has come up with a note in response to the allegation. On Instagram, the actor shared, "I have come across a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please know that this is entirely untrue. I'm determined to go to any extent to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally."

Nivin is one of the six accused in the case in connection with the incident from last November in Dubai. The other accused include a woman named Shreya and film producer AK Sunil.

The case will soon be transferred to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), formed by the Kerala government recently to probe the film industry-related accusations.

The allegations have come shortly after Nivin's film Shekhara Varma Rajavu commenced production.
