Actor Nikhila Vimal will be headlining an upcoming Malayalam film titled Pennu Case. On Thursday, on the occasion of Diwali, the makers unveiled the project’s title poster, featuring an illustration of a bride and groom chased by a group of men. The film marks the directorial debut of Febin Sidharth, who has co-written the screenplay with Reshmi Radhakrishnan. Febin previously penned Bhagavan Dasante Ramrajyam (2023), helmed by Rasheed Parambil.

On the technical front, Pennu Case has Shinoz behind the camera and Sarin Ramakrishnan on the editing table. The dialogues and additional screenplay have been jointly written by Jyothish M, Sunu V and Ganesh Malayath. Produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Rajesh Krishna, and CV Sarathi under the banners of E4 Experiments and London Talkies, further details regarding the film's extended cast and plot are yet to be revealed.

Nikhila was last seen in Vishnu Mohan’s Kadha Innuvare. The actor's upcoming slate includes M Mohanan’s Oru Jaathi Jathakam, alongside Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Vinay Govind’s Get-Set Baby, opposite Unni Mukundan.
