Editor Nishadh Yusuf passes away

Best known for his works in Malayalam films like Unda and Thallumaala, Nishadh is also the editor of the upcoming Tamil biggie Kanguva

Film editor Nishadh Yusuf, best known for his works in Malayalam films like Thallumaala (2022), Saudi Vellakka (2022) and Unda (2019), has passed away. The 43-year-old Haripad native was found dead in his flat in Kochi.

Nishadh, who debuted with the Mammootty-starrer Unda, won the Kerala State award for best editing for his work in Thallumaala. Some of his other works include Operation Java (2021), 1001 Nunakal (2022), Chaaver (2023) and this year's Adios Amigo.

Nishadh is also making his Tamil debut with the upcoming biggie Kanguva, starring Suriya. His upcoming slate includes Alappuzha Gymkhana, Bazooka and the Mohanlal-Tharun Moorthy film L 360.

Industry insiders and cinephiles have expressed shock in the sudden passing away of a highly promising talent, who was at the peak of his career.
