On Friday, veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma took to social media to share a candid moment with actor Fahadh Faasil, sparking curiosity among fans. In a tweet accompanied by a photograph, Varma wrote, “1st ever shot I took of Fahadh Faasil and the expression on his face, he directed himself.”  This led to netizens discussing the possibility of a potential collaboration between the two.

However, a follow-up tweet by the director, after a couple of hours, refuted those speculations. The image was taken casually in a decorative tunnel at Ram’s studio, referred to as "RGV DEN", and not on a film set as many assumed. The second tweet featured a selfie with both Fahadh and Ram, as the Satya director chided, "For the dumbos who believed the pic in my previous tweet that it was a film shot, it was just a random pic shot in a decorative tunnel at RGV DEN when Fahadh Faasil visited me.”

Fahadh was last seen in Rajinikanth's latest film, Vettaiyan, where he also shared the screen with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Manju Warrier. Up next, the Aavesham actor has a slate of diverse projects lined up across multiple languages. In Malayalam, he is currently working on Althaf Salim's romantic comedy Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira. He is also part of debutant Roy's Karate Chandran, as well as Vipin Das' gangster comedy, alongside SJ Suryah. Fahadh also has upcoming films with directors Jeethu Joseph and Renji Panicker. In Tamil, he is set to feature in Mareesan alongside Vadivelu. His Telugu projects include Pushpa 2: The Rule, Oxygen, and Don’t Trouble The Trouble.

Ram, whose last directorial venture was the Telugu political thriller Vyuham, recently made a cameo appearance in the Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD.
