The first look of Antony Varghese's character in Daveed was unveiled on Friday, as the actor celebrated his birthday. The actor plays Ashiq Abu, a boxer and his ripped physique grabs instant attention. Antony had earlier shed a few kilos for this film, which is billed as an action-heavy entertainer. It is directed by debutant Govind Vishnu, who also co-wrote the script with newcomer Deepu Rajeevan.

Besides Antony, the cast of Daveed includes Lijomol Jose, Vijayaraghavan, Saiju Kurup, Kichu Tellus, Jess Kukku, and Mohammad Karakki, alongside a set of martial artists. The film has cinematography by Salu K Thomas, editing by Rakesh Cherumadam, music by Justin Varghese, and action choreography by PC Stunts. It is jointly produced by John And Mary Creative, Century Films, Maxlab and Panorama Studios.

Antony's last appearance was in Kondal, directed by debutant Ajit Mampally. The RDX actor is also set to feature in a sequel to his hit film Ajagajantharam.
