The first look poster Besty, headlined by Ashkar Saudan and Shaheen Siddique, was unveiled by the makers through social media. The upcoming film is written and directed by Shaanu Samad, who earlier helmed films like Mohabbathin Kunjabdulla (2019) and On The Way (2014).

According to the makers, Besty revolves around a couple who are divorced due to misunderstandings and a friend who comes to assist them. Featuring Sakshi Agarwal as the female lead, the film also stars Suresh Krishna, Sudheer Karamana, Joy Mathew, Jaffer Idukki, Gokulan, Sadiq, Hareesh Kanaran, Nirmal Palazhi, Abu Salim, Unni Raja, Naseer Sankranthy, Appunni Sasi, Sundarapandian and Kalabhavan Rahman, among others. Its technical crew includes cinematographer Jiju Sunny, editor John Kutty and music directors Ouseppachan, Anwar Aman, Mohsin Kurukkal, Ashraf Manjeri and Shubham Shukla. Besty, expected to hit theatres later this year, was shot in Manali, Mumbai, Mangaluru, Kozhikode and Ponnani. The film is produced by K V Abdul Nazar under the banner of Benzy Productions.

Mammootty's nephew Ashkar was last seen in T S Suresh Babu's DNA, while veteran actor Siddique's son Shaheen's last appearance was in the Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer Sesham Mike-il Fathima (2023).
