Dulquer Salmaan had recently confirmed starring in Soubin Shahir's next directorial after Parava. The latest buzz is that the duo is teaming up for a film based on supercross champion CD Jinan's life. Jinan, a Dubai-based Malayali, is a six-time national supercross champion. Notably, Dulquer had earlier played the role of a motorcross rider in Bangalore Days (2014). Sameer Thahir, who handled the camera in the Anjali Menon directorial, is likely to be the cinematographer for the upcoming Dulquer-Soubin film as well. More details regarding the project are awaited.

Meanwhile, Dulquer is fresh off the blockbuster success of Lucky Baskhar. The Telugu original film directed by Venky Atluri is now streaming on Netflix. The actor next has a Tamil period film titled Kaantha and a Telugu film titled Aakasam Lo Oka Tara lined up. In Malayalam, he has committed for a film with RDX-fame Nahas Hidhayath.

On the other hand, Soubin is busy with his acting commitments. He is making his Tamil debut with the Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj film Coolie. His next release in Malayalam will be Pravin Koodu Shappu, which has playing the lead along with Basil Joseph and Chemban Vinod Jose.

Soubin is also entangled in a case related to the financial irregularities in the production of the blockbuster film Manjummel Boys, which he co-produced under his banner Parava Films. The IT department had raided his office in Kochi for the second day running on Friday. Earlier the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also launched an investigation into alleged money laundering by Parava Films.
