Bheeshma Parvam-fame Devadath Shaji's directorial debut Dheeran goes on floors

Previously, we reported that Devadath Shaji, best known for co-writing the Mammootty-starrer Bheeshma Parvam, is making his directorial debut with Dheeran. On Friday, the upcoming film officially began production with a traditional pooja ceremony at a temple in Perumbavoor. In addition to directing, Devadath has also penned the script.

Dheeran stars Rajesh Madhavan, Manoj K Jayan, Jagadish, Vineeth, Ashokan and Sudheesh, among others. The film is produced by Lakshmi Warrier and Ganesh Menon under the banner of Cheers Entertainments banner, known for backing films such as Vikrithi, Jan.E.Man, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Falimy. Its technical crew includes Kishkindha Kaandam music composer Mujeeb Majeed, editor Finn George Varghese, and cinematographer Harikrishnan Lohithadas, son of the late filmmaker Lohithadas. Further details regarding the genre and backdrop of the film are yet to be disclosed.

Devadath began his film career in 2019 as an assistant director to Madhu C Narayanan on Kumbalangi Nights and later collaborated with Amal Neerad on Bheeshma Parvam, where he also served as associate director in addition to co-writing the film.
