Editor-turned-filmmaker Abhinav Sunder Nayak, who made an impressive debut with Mukundan Unni Associates (2022), has announced his next. Titled Mollywood Times, the film stars Naslen as the lead and is backed by Ashiq Usman Productions. The tagline 'A Hate Letter to Cinema' and the disclaimer that everything shown in the film is real hints that it is based on some true incidents from within the cinema industry. The makers haven't revealed any other details regarding its genre or other team members.

Naslen is currently on a high after the blockbuster success of Premalu. The rom-com, released earlier this year, was successfully dubbed and released in Tamil and Telugu. The film, part of Malayalam cinema's elite Rs 100 crore club, is getting a sequel next year and Naslen will be returning to reprise his part in it.

The actor is next teaming up with director Khalid Rahman for a sports comedy, which got launched recently. His next release will be I Am Kathalan, also directed by Premalu maker Girish AD.
