On Sunday, actor Saiju Kurup took to social media to announce his maiden production venture. Titled Bharathanatyam, the film will also star him in the lead along with veteran actor Saikumar. It is written and directed by debutant Krishnadas Murali. Thomas Thiruvalla Films is producing the film in association with Saiju Kurup Entertainments.

The technical team of Bharathanatyam comprises cinematographer Bablu Aju, music director Samuel Aby and editor Shadeeque V B. 

Meanwhile, Saiju Kurup's upcoming slate includes Abhilasham, Porattu Nadakam, and Written and Directed by God. He is also making his digital debut with the Sony LIV web series Jai Mahendran. The show is billed as a political drama with a light-hearted tone. It has Saiju Kurup as a corrupt deputy Tehsildar officer who believes in getting things done through power play and his influence within the system. The series has Rahul Riji Nair attached to it as the writer, producer, and showrunner, while his former assistant Srikanth Mohan is directing it.
