Manjummel Boys has crossed the Rs-100-crore mark from the global box office. It is the fastest Malayalam film to achieve this feat, claim the makers. The Chidambaram directorial hit screens on February 22.
Based on real life events, Manjummel Boys stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Lal Jr, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Jean Paul Lal, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, Chandu Salimkumar and Vishnu Reghu among others.
Apart from its blockbuster run in Kerala, the film is also doing remarkable business in Tamil Nadu, where it recently became the first Malayalam film to gross Rs 10 crores.
Manjummel Boys is widely considered a tribute to the 1991-released Tamil film, Guna. Recently, the film's team members met Kamal Haasan and Guna's director Santhana Bharathi in Chennai. The film is also about to get a Telugu-dubbed version soon.
The technical crew of Manjummel Boys comprises cinematographer Shyju Khalid, composer Sushin Shyam, editor Vivek Harshan, and production designer Ajayan Chalissery. It is jointly produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony.
