The makers of Parvathy and Urvashi's Ullozhukku (Undercurrent) released the trailer for the film on Monday. It is written and directed by Christo Tomy, making his debut feature. He is best known for helming Netflix's true-crime documentary Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case.

Ullozhukku is set to hit the screens on June 21. The trailer begins with aerial shots of Kuttanad, submerged in water due to heavy rains. It then cuts to the funeral visitation for Urvashi's son, Prashant Murali, who was married to Parvathy. The burial is being delayed because of the flood situation, and Parvathy realises that she is pregnant. What follows is the lead actors on troubled waters, involving disputes over the custody of the child and the secrets behind a potentially rocky marriage.

The film also stars Arjun Radhakrishnan, Alencier Ley Lopez and Prashant Murali in prominent roles. It has cinematography by Bramayugam-fame Shehnad Jalal, editing by Kiran Das and music by Sushin Shyam.

Ullozhukku is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey under the banners of RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures.
