Actor Suresh Gopi becomes the first Lok Sabha MP of BJP from Kerala

Suresh Gopi scripted history as he became the first Member of Parliament from Kerala as a representative of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Suresh Gopi contested in the Thrissur constituency and won by a margin of 74,686 votes. This was the second time the actor contested in the aforesaid constituency in the Lok Sabha elections. In 2019, too, he stood in Thrissur as a BJP representative but failed to secure the seat back then.

The actor took to social media to thank what he described as "the real secular voters of Thrissur."

Mohalal and Mammootty also congratulated Suresh Gopi through social media on his historic win.

On the work front, Suresh Gopi was last seen in Garudan. He will next be seen in Varaham and Janaki v/s State of Kerala (JSK).
