First look poster of Kaadakam out

The film, currently gearing up for festival submissions, is eyeing for a theatrical release in 2025

The first-look poster of Kaadakam was unveiled by the makers. The film is directed by Jain Christopher, who also serves as the cinematographer. The poster features a bunch of men in their vests, presumably inside a forest, looking up except for one guy at the centre. It is written by Sudheesh Koshy, based on a true story that happened at Idukki in 2022.

Kaadakam features Rathish Krishna, Aaromal, T Jose Pala, Jose Chacko, Govindan Namboodiri, Manu Thekkedath, Ajesh Changanasseri, Shibu, Sreeraj and Nandana in prominent roles. According to the director, the film is about the challenges faced by a group of youth, who enter the forest with a specific goal and their efforts to overcome it. It has editing by Vigil F X, art direction by Dileep Chunkappara, music by Madhulal Sankar and background score by Roshan Mathew Robi.

Kaadakam was shot majorly in Amboori, Kallar, Ponmudi, Ranni, Vandiperiyar, Chunkappara and Kuttikkanam. The film, currently gearing up for festival submissions, is eyeing for a theatrical release in 2025.
