The release of Tovino Thomas' ARM: Ajayante Randam Moshanam has been suspended due to allegations of financial fraud. Reports indicate that all planned theatrical, OTT, and satellite releases have been put on hold in light of these accusations.
A stay order has been issued by the Ernakulam Principal Sub Court following a petition from Dr Vineeth, an Ernakulam resident, who alleges that the makers of the film obtained Rs 3.20 crores from him under dubious circumstances. The complainant alleges he invested this amount in the film's production but was denied ownership rights, which were allegedly transferred to another party without his consent. This controversy has led to the indefinite postponement of the film’s release, which was originally scheduled for Onam this year.
Directed by debutant Jithin Laal and billed as a 3D action adventure, ARM is a period epic that spans several timelines. The film is scripted by Sujith Nambiar, with additional screenplay contributions from Deepu Pradeep. Tovino Thomas takes on three distinct roles—Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan—each set in different eras: 1900, 1950, and the 1990s. Krithi Shetty makes her Malayalam debut with this film, which also features Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, Rohini, Basil Joseph, Jagadish, and Harish Uthaman.
