The shooting of Omar Lulu's Bad Boyz has been completed. Announcing the same, the film's presenter and actor Sheelu Abraham took to social media and stated that the film is the "hard work of more than 200 people in 50 days". It is headlined by Rahman and Dhyan Sreenivasan.

Bad Boyz, which has its story by Omar, also stars Saiju Kurup, Babu Antony, Bibin George, Anson Paul, Senthil Krishna, Bala, Aju Varghese, Tini Tom, Harisree Ashokan, Ramesh Pisharody, Dracula Sudheer, Sohan Seenulal, Motta Rajendran, Sajin Cherukayil, Aradhya Ann and Mallika Sukumaran, among others. The film is scripted by Sarang Jayaprakash, who has earlier collaborated with Omar as the writer in Dhamaka and Oru Adaar Love.

Bad Boyz has music by William Francis and cinematography by Alby. The film is produced by Abraham Mathew under the banner of Abaam Movies.

Recently, Omar ran into trouble after an Ernakulam-based female actor filed a sexual assault case against him. The complainant has alleged that the director raped her after purportedly giving her a drink spiked with MDMA. Justice C S Dias's bench granted her inclusion as a respondent in Omar's application for anticipatory bail and adjourned the bail hearing to July 22.
