The makers of Thekku Vadakku, headlined by Vinayakan and Suraj Venjaramoodu, dropped a teaser for the film. The teaser features the lead actors as senior citizens who coincidentally meet at a roadside tea stall. Upon coming face-to-face, they immediately walk away from each other in sheer disdain.

The upcoming film, produced by Anjana Talkies and Odiyan director VA Shrikumar's VARS Studios, is directed by Prem Shankar, who earlier helmed Randuper, which featured in the Competition Section of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) in 2017.

Thekku Vadakku is penned by S Hareesh, based on his story Ratri Kaval. Hareesh is a well-known literary figure, best known for scripting Lijo Jose Pellissery's films, Jallikattu, Churuli, and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam.

According to the makers, Thekku Vadakku revolves around an unconventional relationship between two individuals. The film has music by Sam CS, cinematography by Suresh Rajan, and editing by Kiran Das. The film is eyeing an August release.
