Following the laurels from the festival circuits, the Malayalam film Aattam was released in theatres on January 5. While the film is being recognised by the public, legendary actor Mammootty added to the hype, stating, " It's a good movie."
Anand Ekarshi, the director of the film, who was invited by Mammootty to his home, along with the cast, penned a note on his social media handle, inferring the veteran's reception towards the film.
Taking to his FB handle, Anand wrote, " And it's sheer Mammooka supremacy !! We are eternally grateful for your support, love, and heartwarming wishes. We are still processing the fact that you watched AATTAM and reached out to share what you felt. How all of us were invited home… how we were greeted".
He continued, " With such love and acceptance and how you posed for as many pictures with each one of us is unparalleled and unreal. You are that yardstick of grace… talent and love that is unmatched. All this is something more than we could ever dream of. When you shook hands and said, 'It's a good movie', we were reminded all over again how blessed we all are to be making movies at a time when your craft is reigning. Dearly missed Vinay Forrt, who's away at shoot while his passionate heart stays with us in spirit.
He concluded, " A thousand hugs to Shajon Chetan who made this experience a reality for us. Aattam continues beyond the stage and in our hearts.
Aattam stars Zarin Shihab, Vinay Forrt, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Nandan Unni in prominent roles, along with nine newcomers.
