After sharing posters featuring lead actors Mammootty and Arjun Ashokan, the makers of Bramayugam have unveiled actor Sidharth Bharathan's first look from the film. Sidharth was last seen in the crime drama Vela in which he played a cop's role.

Directed by Bhoothakaalam-fame Rahul Sadasivan, Bramayugam, as per the makers, is a horror thriller set in the dark ages of Kerala. Mammootty is said to be playing a negative role of a sorcerer in it.  The film is scripted by Rahul Sadasivan, with dialogues by award-winning novelist TD Ramakrishnan

Bramayugam is the debut production of Y Not Studios' newly launched banner, Night Shift Studios, which focuses exclusively on horror thrillers. Besides Malayalam, the film is planned to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages simultaneously.
