The shoot of Praavinkoodu Shappu, directed by debutant Sreeraj Sreenivasan and starring Soubin Shahir, Basil Joseph, and Chemban Vinod Jose in the lead, has begun in Ernakulam and Thrissur. The film also stars Chandni Sreedharan, Sivajith Padmanabhan, Shabreesh Verma, Niyas Bakker, Revathi, Vijo Amaravathi, Ramkumar, Sandeep, and Pratapan KS. It has cinematography by Shyju Khalid, who is fresh from the success of his last venture Manjummel Boys.

Pravinkoodu Shappu has music by Vishnu Vijay of Thallumaala, Falimy, and Premalu. Mu. Ri is the film's lyricist, while Shafeeq Muhammad Ali oversees editing.

The film will be the next distribution venture of A&A Entertainments after Jithu Madhavan's Fahadh Faasil's Aavesham.
