Manjummel Boys hit theatres on February 22, and ever since the film has been the only talk of the town. The Chidambaram directorial has not only become successful with its commercial viability but has also been gaining critical acclaim. The latest to praise the film is director Halitha Shameem who called it a 'mammoth film'.
She took to her official X account and wrote, "Manjummel Boys is a mammoth of a film! It's making, it's ambitions and the way it's going to cross borders and be celebrated and cherished for years to come, everything is huge about the film. Watch the spectacle in theatres!" (sic)
Manjummel Boys stars Soubin Shahar, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Lal Jr, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Jean Paul Lal, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman Chandu Salimkumar and Vishnu Raghu among others. The film is jointly produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony.
The film's story is based on true incidents and revolves around a group of boys who find themselves in a precarious situation amidst the Guna Caves during a trip to Kodaikanal. Manjummel Boys' technical crew comprises cinematographer Shyju Khalid, composer Sushin Shyam, editor Vivek Harshan, and production designer Ajayan Chalissery.
