Actor Aju Varghese is set to star in an upcoming film directed by Rahul R Sharma, an associate of writer-director Mithun Manuel Thomas. 

Based on the 1993 Kasaragod Badiyatukka Devaloka murder, in which a rooster was the witness,  the upcoming film is billed as a comedy investigation-buddy cop film. 

The film will have a story and screenplay written by P. V. Shajikumar, who is best known for penning Take Off, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Kunchacko Boban, and Fahad Faasil.

The shooting of this film is set to begin soon in Kasargod Mangalore
