The makers of writer-director Vineeth Sreenivasan's highly anticipated film Varshangalkku Shesham released the trailer on YouTube earlier this evening. The film marks the reunion of Vineeth Sreenivasan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Pranav Mohanlal after the highly successful Hridayam. The trailer hints at a jovial film about a group of friends who go to Madras with ambitions to make it big in the world of cinema. Earlier, there were rumours that the film was based on the real-life of Mohanlal and Vineeth's father, Sreenivasan, but the writer-director denied these claims.

Nevertheless, the trailer makes it obvious that it is a self-aware film. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the portion of the trailer where Nivin shouts nepotism, seemingly a jibe at critics who pointed out the fact that the film features star kids. The cast of Varshangalkku Shesham also includes Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Basil Joseph, Neeraj Madhav, Y Gee Mahendra, Shaan Rahman, Neeta Pillai, and Nivin Pauly. It is produced by Visakh Subramaniam under the banner of Merryland Cinemas—the duo behind Hridayam. Varshangalkku Shesham will hit theatres on April 11 this year.
