On Thursday, actor-director Rajesh Madhavan married assistant director Deepthi Karat. The couple, who had been in a relationship, first met while working together on the Kunchacko Boban-starrer Nna Thaan Case Kodu (2022). Rajesh acted in the film, while Deepthi was part of the assistant directors' team.

A native of Kasaragod, Rajesh began his career in Malayalam cinema as a production controller before transitioning to acting with a minor role in Dileesh Pothan's Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016). He later worked as an assistant director on Dileesh's Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017) and served as a casting director for various films. Besides Nna Thaan Case Kodu and its spin-off Sureshanteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hrudayahariyaya Pranayakadha (SSHP), Rajesh is also known for his portrayals as an actor in Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham (2021) and Madanolsavam (2023). Most recently, he appeared in Her alongside Ramya Nambeeshan. His directorial debut Pennum Porattum has recently completed filming and is currently in post-production.

Deepthi, on the other hand, has worked as an assistant director on various Malayalam and Hindi projects. Her credits include Across the Ocean (2019), Dahaad (2023), Killer Soup, Love Sitara and SSHP, where she collaborated with Rajesh once again.
