The makers of Kondal released the first song from the film, starring Antony Varghese and Raj B Shetty, among others. Titled 'Choolamadikkada', it is a fast-paced number sung by Pranavam Sasi, Guru, and Gireesh based on a Sam CS composition and Vinayak Sasikumar's lyrics. The cast of Kondal also includes Shabeer Kallarakkal, Nandu, Manikanda Rajan, Pramod Veliyanad, Prathibha, Gauthami Nair, Usha, Jaya Kurup, Sarath Sabha, Siraj, and Rahul Rajagopal.

Ajit Mampally directed the film from a screenplay he wrote with Roylin Robert and Satheesh Thonnakkal. According to the makers, Kondal is an action-packed film set in a seaside community.

On the technical front, the film includes Deepak D Menon for cinematography, Sreejith Sarang for editing, Arun Krishna for art direction, and Sam CS himself for the background score.

Sophia Paul produced the film under her banner Weekend Blockbusters, which also backed the Antony Varghese starrer RDX. The makers are eyeing an Onam release.
