Wayanad landslides: Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan donate Rs 1 crore to the CMDRF

On Sunday, Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan collectively donated Rs 1 crore to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF), displaying solidarity with the victims of the Wayanad landslides that have claimed over 350 lives.

Announcing the same through his social media, Chiranjeevi expressed his sorrow, stating, "Deeply distressed by the devastation and loss of hundreds of precious lives in Kerala due to nature’s fury in the last few days. My heart goes out to the victims of the Wayanad tragedy. Charan and I together are contributing Rs 1 Crore to the Kerala CM Relief Fund as a token of our support to the victims. My prayers for the recovery of all those in pain!"

Earlier on Sunday, Telugu actor Allu Arjun made a contribution of Rs 25 lakhs to the CMDRF. Among the prominent film personalities who had previously made generous donations are Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Vikram, Suriya, Jyothika, Karthi, Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, Manju Warrier, and Rashmika Mandanna.
