Telugu actor Allu Arjun, showing solidarity with the victims of the Wayanad landslides that claimed over 350 lives, donated Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) on Sunday.

In a statement shared on his social media, the actor expressed, "I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating ₹25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation work. Praying for your safety and strength."

Allu, who enjoys a massive following in Kerala, had earlier stepped forward to help the neighbouring state in a time of crisis on multiple instances. In 2018, during the devastating floods, he made a similar donation for rehabilitation measures. The actor also contributed significantly to Kerala's COVID-19 relief efforts in 2020.

Earlier, we reported that prominent film personalities such as Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Vikram, Suriya, Jyotika, Karthi, Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan and Rashmika Mandanna had made significant contributions to the CMDRF.

Meanwhile, Allu will next be seen in Pushpa: The Rule, the much-anticipated sequel to Pushpa: The Rise. Slated to hit theatres on December 6, the upcoming film also features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist.
