Mandakini Trailer: Althaf and Anarkali are a married couple amidst their quirky family

Helmed by debutant Vinod Leela, the film is slated to hit theatres on May 24

Earlier, we reported that Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar's Mandakini will hit theatres on May 24 this year. The makers of the film, written and directed by debutant Vinod Leela, released its trailer on Sunday. The trailer, which begins with Ambili (Anarkali) asking Aromal (Althaf) if the latter has fallen for anyone before, promises to be a fun-filled entertainer.

Mandakini, which features the lead actors as a married couple, also stars Lal Jose, Jude Anthany Joseph, Ajai Vasudev, Jeo Baby, Ganapathi, Saritha Kukku,  Jaffer Idukki, Ashwathy Sreekanth, and Vineeth Thattil in prominent roles. Produced by Sanju Unnithan, the film has cinematography by Shiju M Bhaskar, editing by Sheril, and music by Bibin Ashok.

Meanwhile, Althaf is set to start shooting his sophomore directorial Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, which stars Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. He made his directorial debut with the Nivin Pauly-starrer Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.

On the other hand, Anarkali is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Gaganachari, directed by Arun Chandu, alongside Gokul Suresh and Aju Varghese.
