We had earlier reported about Sharaf U Dheen headlining and producing a new film titled Pet Detective. The film got launched with a formal pooja ceremony on Thursday. It is directed by debutant Praneesh Vijayan, who earlier co-wrote Omar Lulu's Happy Wedding (2016).

Pet Detective has Sharaf's Premam co-star Anupama Pararmeswaran as the female lead. It is jointly scripted by director Praneesh Vijayan and Jai Vishnu, who previously co-wrote Madhura Manohara Moham. The upcoming film has music by Premam-fame Rajesh Murugesan, cinematography by Anend C Chandran and editing by Abhinav Sunder Nayak.

Sharaf, last seen in Tholvi F.C. (2023), next has Hello Mummy coming up. Also starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, the film is billed as a fantasy-comedy. It is directed by debutant Vaishakh Elans and scripted by Falimy-fame Sanjo Joseph.
