Saiju Kurup's Gu gets a release date

Billed as a fantasy horror, the film is written and directed by debutant Manu Radhakrishnan

The makers of Saiju Kurup's Gu unveiled a new poster and announced that the film will release on May 17. Billed as a fantasy horror, it is written and directed by debutant Manu Radhakrishnan. The poster features the lead actor and child actor Deva Nandha, who both have previously worked together in the Unni Mukundan-starrer Malikappuram (2022).

Gu has Chandrakanth Madhavan cranking the camera, Jonathan Bruce composing the music and Vinayan MJ on the editing table. The film produced by Maniyanpilla Raju also stars Finals-fame Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, Abhijith Renjith, Aneena Angala Joseph, Gouri A S, Gopika Rani, Vijay Nelliz, Aswathy Manoharan, Nandini Gopalakrishnan and Laya Simpson. It also features child actors Alwin Mukund, Prajesh Mullikkot and Aadya Amith in prominent roles.  

Last seen in Abraham Ozler, Saiju Kurup has a slew of projects lined up including Anand Sreebala, Abhilasham, Porattu Nadakam, and Written and Directed by God. Additionally, he is also making his digital debut with Sony LIV's upcoming web series Jai Mahendran.
