Raai Laxmi reveals her IPS character's name in DNA

This is the second time Raai Laxmi is playing an IPS officer in Malayalam cinema; her first such role came in Aaru Sundarimaarude Katha

Raai Laxmi is making her comeback to Malayalam cinema after six years with DNA. The actor revealed the identity of her character last year, but she only disclosed her name late yesterday. She plays IPS Rachel Punnoose in DNA. Sharing a photograph of her character from the film, the actor said that it would release in theatres soon.

This is the second time Raai Laxmi is playing an IPS officer in Malayalam cinema; her first such role came in Aaru Sundarimaarude Katha. The actor last appeared in Malayalam cinema as Sreejaya opposite Mammootty in 2018's Oru Kuttanadan Blog. However, she has been an active part of South Indian cinema in the years since her last Malayalam release.

DNA from director TS Suresh Babu and writer AK Santhosh is billed as a complete suspense thriller. The film also stars Ashkar Saudan, Aju Varghese, Babu Antony, John Kaippallil, Raveendran, Hannah Reji Koshy, Swasika, Ineya, Renji Panicker, Irshad, Padmaraj Ratheesh, and Riyaz Khan.
