After wrapping up the first schedule of his multilingual film Vrushabha, Mohanlal joined the sets of Neru on Thursday. It marks his fifth collaboration with director Jeethu Joseph after the Drishyam films, 12th Man, and the yet-to-be-released Ram

Scripted by Jeethu and advocate Santhi Mayadevi, who had played a crucial role in Drishyam 2, this upcoming film is a legal thriller. There are also reports about Mohanlal playing a blind man's role in Neru, but it is yet to be confirmed.

Priyamani plays the female lead in the film, which also stars Anaswara Rajan, Ganesh Kumar, and Jagadish.

On the technical front, Jeethu has got his frequent collaborators—cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, music director Vishnu Shyam, and editor VS Vinayak.

Antony Perumbavoor's Aashirvad Cinemas is producing the film.
