In a statement released alongside unveiling the film's title, Joju said, "Though a bit tensed, I'm enjoying direction as much as I enjoy acting."

Joju has put together an interesting cast for Pani. It includes popular Bigg Boss contestants like Rinosh George, Sagar Surya and Junaiz. Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Abhinaya, Babu Namboothiri, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shanker, Ranjith Velayudhan, Bitto Davis also star in it.

On the technical front, Pani is bolstered by the presence of multiple National award-winning cinematographer Venu. Music is by Vishnu Vijay, and Manu Antony is handling the edits. Production designer Santhosh Raman, costume designer Sameera Saneesh, action choreographer Dinesh Subbarayan, and dance choreographer Sandy are also part of the team. The film is produced by M Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan.

Cinematographer-director Venu is cranking the camera for Pani. Interestingly, the veteran is making his comeback behind the camera after a long gap with Pulimada, which is also headlined by Joju. The AK Sajan directorial is slated to hit screens on October 26.
