Filming of Bramayugam, the upcoming horror thriller starring Mammootty, has been completed. The film, which also stars Arjun Ashokan in the lead, is directed by Bhoothakaalam-fame Rahul Sadasivan. While Mammootty wrapped up his portions last month, the film's entire shoot got over on Wednesday.

Bramayugam is the maiden production of Y Not Studios' newly launched banner, Night Shift Studios, which focuses exclusively on horror thrillers. It is scripted by Rahul Sadasivan, while dialogues are penned by award-winning novelist TD Ramakrishnan.

According to the makers, it's a rooted horror story set in the dark ages of Kerala. Mammootty will reportedly be seen in a negative role as a sorcerer in the film. His menacing look, which was shared last month on his birthday, has already piqued the curiosity of many. Sidharth Bharathan and Kammattippaadam-fame Amalda Liz also play prominent characters in the film.

Bramayugam, confirmed as an early 2024 release, will be out in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages simultaneously.
