Kaathal director Jeo Baby: Not aware of the IFFI premiere

The film stars Mammootty and Jyotika as leads

It has been widely reported that Kaathal, starring Mammootty and Jyotika, will be premiering at this year's IFFI in November. However, when we reached out to its director Jeo Baby for a confirmation, he clarified that he isn't aware of any such development. When asked about the film's release plans, the director maintained that doesn't know about it either. 

Kaathal, produced by Mammootty Kampany, has been in the making for over a year now. The film's shoot got wrapped up in November, 2022, and ever since then, there have been various speculations regarding its release, including reports about the makers skipping theatres and opting for a direct digital premiere.

Kaathal is scripted by RDX-fame Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria. They both also co-wrote Neymar this year. Apart from Mammootty and Jyotika, the film also stars Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Sudhi Kozhikode, Anagha Akku and Josi Sijo. Mathews Pulickal serves the composer and cinematography is by Salu K Thomas. Francis Louis is editing the film.
