The first look of I Am Kathalan, starring Naslen is out. It is directed by Girish AD, who earlier made Thaneer Mathan Dinangal and Super Sharanya. Interestingly, Naslen was part of both films. Billed as a family entertainer with thriller elements, the upcoming film is scripted by actor Sajin Cherukayil, who is also playing an important role in it.

Earlier, while speaking about I Am Kathalan, Sajin told us, "It will be unlike anything Girish has done before in terms of style. Although it ventures into the thriller space, it's not what I would call a 'dark thriller'. It's a narrative told predominantly through humour. It packs some surprises towards the latter half."

The film also stars newcomer Anishma, Dileesh Pothan, Lijomol Jose, and Vineeth Viswam. Dr Paul Varghese is backing the film. Music director Sidhartha Pradeep, editor Akash Joseph Varghese, and cinematographer Sharan Velayudhan are part of the technical crew.

Meanwhile, Girish AD and Naslen are also collaborating for a rom-com next. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead in the film, which is produced by Bhavana Studios, headed by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran.
