Makers of Antony announce financial aid to kin of Tanur boat accident victims

2018 makers had also promised Rs 1 lakh each to families of the deceased

The makers of the upcoming Joju George-starrer Antony have donated Rs 11 lakh as financial aid for the kin of Tanur boat accident victims. Along with contributions from the producers, Einstein Media and Appu Pathu Pappu Production House, the cast and crew members also pooled money by donating their one day's remuneration. The amount got handed over directly to the Malappuram district collector on Thursday.

Antony, directed by Joshiy, stars Joju, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Kalyani Priyadarshan as the leads. The film is scripted by Rajesh Varma.

Earlier, the makers of the recently-released blockbuster 2018 had also promised Rs 1 lakh to the families of each of the boat accident victims. On Sunday, 22 people died when a private tourist boat capsized near the Ottumpuram Thooval Theeram beach in Malappuram's Tanur.
