Sunil Karanthur, who has helmed films like Manathe Kottaram, Chantha, and Vrudhanmare Sookshikkuka, is directing a new film titled Cake Story. Its shoot commenced on Wednesday.

Billed as a family drama, the film stars Ashokan, Mallika Sukumaran, Major Ravi, and Johny Antony in major roles. It is scripted by Sunil Karanthur's Veda Sunil. Veteran Jerry Amaldev is composing music for the film, and cinematography is by Pradeep Nair.
