Suresh Gopi's son Madhav Suresh is headlining a new film titled Kummatikali. It marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil filmmaker Vincent Selva, who has made films like Priyamudan, Youth and Jithan. Super Good Films is backing the film, which went on floors on Thursday in Alappuzha.

According to the makers, Kummatikali, set in a coastal backdrop, is inspired by the all-time classic, Amaram. The team is also planning to shoot in locations where the Bharathan directorial was shot.

Along with Madhav Suresh, the cast also includes Lena, Devika Satheesh, Yami, Anuprabha, Mime Gopi, Azeez Nedumangad, Sohan Seenulal, Sinoj Angamaly, Mithun Prakash and Aneesh Gopal. It has cinematography by Venkatesh and music by Trance-fame Jackson Vijayan.
