Actor, playwright Vikraman Nair passes away

He had performed on over 10,000 stages and acted in around 200 plays, including 53 professional ones

Noted actor and playwright Vikraman Nair passed away on Monday night. The 78-year-old had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode.

Vikraman Nair was a hugely popular figure in Kerala's theatre circles. He had performed in over 10,000 stages and acted in around 200 plays, including 53 professional ones. He also acted in films like Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte KathaVirus and Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. Vikraman Nair is survived by his wife and two daughters. Reportedly, his funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 29 at 9 am.
