Director Ajit Ravi's August 27 is gearing up for release. Billed as a family thriller, it is scripted by Kumbalath Padmakumar.

Shiju Rasheed, Rishad NK, Sushmita Gopinath, Jaseela Parveen, MR Gopakumar, Gopu, Thara Kalyan and Neena Kurup will be seen playing prominent roles in the film. It has Krishna PS as the cinematographer and Jayachandra Krishna as the editor. The songs in the film are composed by Akhil and Sam Siva, while the background score is done by Saanand George.

August 27 is produced under the banner of Pegasus Global Private Limited.
