Earlier in the day, we had reported about actor Prithviraj injuring his leg while shooting for his upcoming film, Vilayath Buddha, in Marayoor. The actor underwent a keyhole surgery in a private hospital in Kochi, and the doctors have advised him two months of complete bed rest after the procedure.

Prithviraj's unfortunate injury is expected to force a change in plans for his upcoming projects. Reportedly, he was planning to fly to the US on July 2 for the pre-production of his much-hyped directorial Empuraan. The injury is also likely to delay the completion of Vilayath Buddha and the Vipin Das directorial Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil.

One of the busiest actors in Indian cinema, Prithviraj has been working on multiple films simultaneously, including some of the biggest and most-anticipated films in the country. While he is part of Prashanth Neel's Salaar, starring Prabhas, Prithviraj will also be seen in Hindi projects like Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, and Kajol's next.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj's long-awaited Aadujeevitham is eyeing a festival premiere shortly.
