Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha (KoK) is aiming for a grand Onam release in August. The team wrapped up its final schedule only recently in Kochi. With the entire shoot done, Jakes Bejoy has started working on the film's background score. The composer recently shared a note on social media about his excitement in scoring for KoK. It is the second time Jakes is composing for a Dulquer-starrer after the 2021-released investigative thriller, Salute.

KoK, directed by Abhilash Joshiy, has Dulquer playing a gangster's role. Scripted by Abhilash N Chandran, the film also stars Sarpatta Parambarai-fame Shabeer Kallarakkal, Nyla Usha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gokul Suresh, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Prasanna in key roles. Ritika Singh will also be seen in a special dance number. Shaan Rahman is composing songs in the film.

Produced by Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios, KoK is mounted as a pan-Indian project with release in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
