Trailer of Shanthi Krishna's Nila out 

The film is part of the Kerala Government's women empowerment initiative

Nila, a new film produced by Kerala State Film Development Corporation Ltd. (KSFDC) as part of the Kerala Government's women empowerment initiative, is slated to hit screens on August 4. The makers released its trailer on Monday.

The film, directed by debutant Indu Lakshmi, has Shanthi Krishna playing the lead role. Ananya, Vineeth Mamukkoya, Mini IG and Madhupal essay other key roles. According to the makers, the film portrays a poignant tale of hope, resilience, and the unyielding strength of sisterhood.

Nila has cinematography by Rakesh Dharan, and edits handled by Appu N Bhattathiri and Shaijas KM. Bijibal has composed the film's music.
