Akhil Marar, who won the recently-concluded fifth edition of Bigg Boss Malayalam, has announced his next directorial. Titled Omana, the film is scripted by Akhil and actor Shiju, who was also part of the reality show. Akhil made the announcement recently during a roadshow held in his hometown, Kottarakkara. According to him, Omana is based on some real incidents that occurred at his native place.

Recently, it was also announced that Bigg Boss contestants Sagar Surya and Junaiz VP will be starring in a film scripted by actor Joju George. Akhil Marar has hinted that he will also be associated with the project. It is worth a mention that Akhil made his directorial debut with the Joju-starrer Oru Thathvika Avalokanam.
