The Mammootty-Lijo Jose Pellissery film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam has been getting excellent responses ever since it hit screens on January 19. The film is about James, a middle-aged Malayali family man, who slips into an afternoon nap and wakes up as a different person—Sundaram, a Tamilian. Mammootty's performance, regarded as one of his finest in recent times, and Lijo's mastery over his craft is the current talk of M-Town.

As a testament to the same, the makers have shared a 2-minute long video capturing the process that went behind the filming of a crucial scene. It is the sequence where James realises that he is not really Sundaram. In the video, Lijo is seen giving brief instructions to Mammootty before the actor brings out his magic.

Before its theatrical release, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam had its world premiere at the 27th International Film Festival of Kerala where it won the Rajata Chakoram award through an audience poll.
